CDAP’s BDC Zero Interest Loan
The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) offers a zero-interest loan of up to $100,000 with a 5-year term and 12 months of capital postponement (total of 6 years) through the CDAP program. Businesses with annual gross revenues between $500,000 and below $5M can request a loan of $25,000 to $50,000, while those with $5M or more can request between $25,000 and $100,000. However, the maximum loan for multiple businesses is capped at $200,000 per borrowing group.
The loan is meant explicitly for implementing a digital adoption plan recognized by the CDAP Boost Your Business Technology stream. While participation in the digital plan doesn’t necessitate applying for a loan, meeting the CDAP eligibility criteria and BDC creditworthiness requirements is necessary to secure a loan offer.
Applicants can create their digital adoption plan, access grants covering up to 90% of advisory services, and choose whether to proceed with the zero-interest loan. Even if they implement their plan, funding can come from internal cash flow or regular financial institutions.
Who is Eligible For The CDAP?
The CDAP (Canada Digital Adoption Program) eligibility includes businesses operating in Canada that aim to boost their digital transformation. Eligible candidates typically encompass small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to adopt digital solutions and meet specific revenue thresholds set by the program.
